Renamon

Renamon stands about 31" tall, just under 3 feet. She is made with smooth minky and fur. She is wired for support and features 6 embroideries including the eyes, gloves, and thighs. I made a Renamon last year, but she was much smaller at only 19". It was nice to have a year between two plush of the same character, especially one I love so much. I am proud of my first one, but this Renamon demonstrates a significant improvement in patterning, technique, and vision. The thighs of my previous Renamon were sewn in two pieces, but this plush features on continuous piece that flows gracefully into the calf and heel. Also, it is sleeker because the proportions are closer to the original anime. Working on such a large scale requires more foresight, and hand stitching. Overall I am ecstatic with this project, it took longer than expected, work and graduate school don't help. In the end I took the time I needed to put in all the effort that she required to be absolutely fabulous. I don't usually include pictures of myself with my work, but a plush this large deserves a photo dedicated to scale, plus I look stylish.
