Lenny by Zareidy Lenny by Zareidy
Lenny stands 12.5 inches tall. He is made from deer suede, knits, and faux leather. His eyes and patch are machine embroidered and his football helmet grill is hand sculpted. I tried to keep him very accurate to the kids next door style, thus the huge hands and feet. I think he looks very fetching in his little uniform, and I really enjoyed making a character with a darker skin tone. It was nice to get a commission of something from a show I used to really like.

You wrote 'hies' instead of 'his'.
*sinks down under my table but then pops head back up*
I'll be honest, I don't really know what it is, but it's still really well made. Good job :3

NO... FREAKING... WAY. Who commissioned this? O_O I was actually highly considering commissioning you for a Lenny plushie when I saved up enough, because I have such a history with this guy.

You can probably tell if you look at the comments. That is pretty funny since he isn't that well known. I like making characters from cartoons from the 2000s.

Haha, I know, right? He's one of those characters that everyone seems to forget about until something with him pops up. I even run a roleplay account of him and I've been told it brought back so many nearly-gone memories. ;u; Lenny is just one of those rare types of characters, I guess. Aha, forgive my rambling. I can just never get enough of this cutie. >w<

At what point do you think you'd be able to repeat him? (With a few changes of course.)  I've almost saved up enough. I've been looking for a worthy plushie artist for a long time to make him, and you were at the top of my list along with a few other of the "Master Plushers" on this site. Now that I've seen him actually made by you, you're the only one on the list. xD

Aw, thanks! I'm glad you like him so much. Probably not this commission batch, but seeing as how much you like him, I'd be willing to do him next batch, probably sometime in January.

Thanks! I like to keep the shoes a different material so they look more realistic. These were a little tricky to pattern but they came out pretty nice!

Wow! this is really amazing, you did so well in capturing the unique KND style. This makes me feel so nostalgic since its one of my fav shows from the early 2000s.   I bet he was really fun to design. x3

Thank you so much! He was! I had a great time with the shoes, the faux leather was a bit tough to sew, but it holds a nice shape and looks very shoe-y. The trick was keeping the limbs thin, but not so thin that they are impossible to flip inside out.

Do you use Hemostats? I have made really skinny characters and couldn't have done it without them.  Though if the faux leather shoes are attached to the leg, then there might be a problem ^^;

No, I don't know what that is actually. They are. I don't typically make clothes removable, unless they are personal projects or specifically requested for outfit changes, for a number of reasons.
